I’m not looking for rapid, insane results. I don’t expect to lose a pound a day or anything drastic; I just want to be firmly inside my healthy weight range. I’m starting at 138 pounds and I’m ready to revert back to my 118 weight I had two years ago.
To do so, I figure the best way is to revert to the diet I had way back when! That means I’m cutting out all red meats, sodas, sweets, and egg yolks. Carbs will also take a drastic cut! Only one serving size of chips a week (when I’m dying from a craving) and only 3 pieces of whole grain bread per week with the occasional wheat tortilla thrown in when I yearn for a change. And perhaps the biggest change, I’ll have to return to drinking my coffee black!
The only difference from my diet just two years ago is that I’ll actually try to count calories, something I’ve never been able to succeed at! I’m thinking I’ll shoot to eat between 1200-1400 calories per day.
As for exercise, I’ll do my very best to get in 2 hours per day at least 5 days a week, not including a quick 15 to 30 minute routine I’ll do the second I jump out of bed! When I was my ideal weight (118) I fenced 3 days a week for 3 to 4 hours each session. I’m thinking working out more days of the week for a little less time will keep me motivated; I won’t have the chance to sit on my ass and feel the comfort of the couch!
If anyone ends up reading this, I’m sorry for the lengthy ramble; I just need to get my plan out in words!
